Hi!! I'm Katarina.

(cat-ter-reena) but I do prefer to go by Kat! I live here in Minnesota with my small family of 3 (technically 6, with two fur babies and a little bun in the oven on the way!). My husband is a fire hydrant maker (all of those fire hydrants you see on the road, yeah, he makes those!!). My daughter works as a naughty toddler roaming around the house, opening cabinets-and of course, I am the photographer mom.

When I am not editing, shooting or working on my business, I love to spend time with my family. We are definitely home bodies most of the time, but we do also love to go out especially on sunny days!!!

*If you have any toddlers/pets, then you know how hard it is to take a decent photo!

01. I'm allergic to cats. (how ironic, isn't it?)

02. I started my photography hobby back in high school taking pictures of myself. So cringe right!!!

03. I'm definitely an animal lover; especially dogs! I love learning about the right kinds of foods and supplements that dogs should take for their health.

04. My favorite TV series are The Original and Friends. Sometimes The Vampire Diaries but you know how Elena can get... If you know, you know!

05. I have a major love/hate relationship with nature.. LOVE the scenery.. HATE the bugs.

06. I am definitely a matcha, chai and Thai iced tea kinda girl + occasionally an iced caramel macchiato.

my photography philosophy

As a photographer, my approach goes beyond than just clicking a button on a camera. I want my clients to comfortably choose me as they would for a friend. Creating an experience worth your time and remembrance is the most important aspect of my art philosophy. Photographing your life while in the midst of it is such a beautiful thing, it deserves to be documented.
